Stainless steel inserts bearing are manufactured from high-grade stainless steel and go inside of a housing. Insert bearings themselves are based on sealed deep groove ball bearings typically within the 62 and 63 series but with a convex outer ring and some sort of shaft-locking mechanism.

The stainless steel bearing inserts are several types which include: flat backed design with a grub screw fixings – SS-SB2.. series, flat back design with a collar SS-SA2.. series, SS-UC2.. standard insert series, SS-UCX.. heavy duty insert series.
